When you are choosing where to do each part of your wedding day, it’s great if you have everything you need close to one another. Anything that saves time during the day helps. The Shangri-La Hotel is easy walking distance to Osgoode Hall, which so far is still free to shoot at and you don’t need a shooting permit which is awesome! At the hall you have options for shots that feel like your at a well kept park, and the Hall itself is quite beautiful giving a classic feeling to your bridal photos.
The outside of the hotel has some great spots to shoot as well, but the Shangi-La will not let you be photographed in their lobby.
The main room for having your wedding ceremony has tall ceilings with floor to ceiling windows, so the room is really bright and cheerful as long as the weather is good. This is also fantastic for your photographer. Natural daylight is great for ceremony coverage. When you have 30 foot tall windows the light is almost like an outdoor ceremony except better.
The Shangri-La’s outdoor patio area is awesome for your cocktail hour when the weather is nice and it has more than enough room inside for your reception.
Here’s a great wedding idea. Instead of having a sign in book, have a puzzle made from one of your engagement shoot pictures, then have your guests write on the back of each piece.
You can have the puzzle laminated to hang or store and all of your guests comments are on the back.
